have you ever seen a sandpiper? In the animated short Piper the theme is to be courageous. When piper needed food, they went to the shore to get clams, but a giant wave came and swept piper up! In the end piper got past the fear of the waves.

In the beginning of the animated short the theme is to be courageous. An example is that piper was being courageous because they were going to the parent, even though piper could have been hurt by tripping of being attacked. They also were showing courage when they were grabbing a clam because they could have gotten stuck in the sand, or lost in the crowd, but piper showed courage while finding a clam

 

In the middle of the animated short the theme is to be courageous. An example of the theme is that the character piper showed courage by heading back to the shore and not hiding in fear. Another example is when piper saw the wave and ran. I know that doesn’t sound courageous, but piper had ran instead of being frozen in fear, but they had the courage to run to safety.

In the end of the animated short the theme is to be courageous because the character piper was having courage by doing the hermit crabs way of being protected from the waves. Also, piper had looked up and saw many shells instead of hiding in the sand for too long.

Piper is a very energetic bird. the theme of the animated short is to be courageous. This makes me think that we should be more courageous. Being courageous can help us to not be afraid of little things. Not being afraid is good because you can do more thing while not being held back by fear.

In the middle of the animated short Piper was courageous when they went back to the shore, even after being washed away by a big wave! Piper was also adventurous when they met the hermit crab.

In the end of the animated short Piper was adventurous once again when they were zooming around the shore and through the waves. They were also adventurous when they were showing off their new skills!

Piper is a very energetic little bird. Piper is always up for an adventure. As i read on I’m realizing that we always are too stubborn to go outside because we hide in our homes, and we should be getting out of the house and having an adventure!

Reasons why Minecraft is better than fortnite.

 

1. Redstone

 

Fortnite might have wiring, but nothing like Redstone. Redstone is a wiring tool in Minecraft, and there are many types of Redstone blocks. For example, you have observers, pistons, sticky pistons, Redstone itself, repeaters, comparators, dispensers, and droppers.

Also, Redstone has more restrictions, increasing creativity. 

 

1. The community

 

Minecraft’s community, as far as i know, is pretty accepting, if you aren’t that good you usually can get help, and people are pretty understanding. But in fortnite, you’ll probably be called a scrub, and then they emote. That isn’t fun if you are new.

 

1. Melee combat.

 

Minecraft has better melee combat because it has swords, and better combat for combos. When you are in fortnite you only use guns (for the most part) and you can get sniped easily, when people snipe you easily, you can get frustrated because you get killed unexpectedly, and yes, Minecraft has bows, but they dont do that much damage.

 

1. Building. 

 

Minecraft has better building because if you compare fortnite building to Minecraft building, Minecraft would come out on top. Minecraft has better building because you have blocks like stairs and slabs that give buildings depth. While fortnite has these flat walls, and walls with holes.

 

1. (mini example) the price

 

Another example is the price. Minecraft costs, because the gameplay isn’t affected by in app purchases, but fortnite halts some gameplay if you dont have enough “v-bucks.” Minecraft has minecoins, but you buy skins and maps, not like buying an ender eye with minecoins.

 

1. Conclusion

 

The reasons why I think Minecraft is better than fortnite is because of the Redstone, the community, melee combat, building, and the in app purchases. In the end, this is why Minecraft is better than fortnite. 

Hello, I’m Going to talk about treaties and what they are. Treaties are a binding agreement or contract between countries. According to google, the definition of a treaty is a “formally concluded and ratified agreement between countries.” – Google Dictionary. 

 

Treaties are agreements or contracts between nations. For example, a treaty could be a peace agreement to stop war, or to allow certain things to pass through.

 

 Treaties are a formally done and allowed agreement between countries. Also, A treaty may be about any subject. Treaties are usually used to settle disputes. The European Union is set up by treaties between most of the European nations.

 

One of the first treaties was made between 1778 and 1871. the United States negotiated treaties with Indians. The first treaty was made on September 17, 1778 at Fort Pitt, present day Pittsburgh, between the Delaware Nation and the United States of America, which was the name of the Confederacy of States before the adoption of the U.S. Constitution. Also, Many of the early treaties are described by the First Nations as “Peace and Friendship Treaties.” 

 

The Treaty of Paris is an example of a peace agreement. This treaty ended the Revolutionary War. … More recently, the North American Free Trade Agreement, or NAFTA, is a treaty between the United States, Canada and Mexico. It was signed in 1992, though it didn’t become effective until 1994.

 

Treaties are significant agreements and contracts. They are “an enduring relationship of mutual obligation” that facilitated a peaceful coexistence between First Nations and non-First Nation people.

 

I think treaties are important because they are usually used to help both areas. They could be used to stop war, let things into each area easier, and so much more! Treaties are important in my mind.

A Great Surprise At The Lodge

It was December 12th, 2016, the day we went to Great Wolf Lodge .We had set of on our 2 hour journey to the lodge.

“Yay!” I say as we drive off

In the car, I could only dream of the fun and adventures that were in store.

 We arrived at the Lodge, and I got my face painted like a fox. then we did Magi Quest and ate lunch.

After that we got checked in and went to our room, and chose beds. there were 2 queen size beds and a pullout couch, my brother got the couch and my sister and me each got our own beds.

It was finally time to go to the into the indoor pool, and to the wave pool. And then, I saw him. One of my best friends jack! both our moms had found out about each others trip, but didn’t tell us. I was overjoyed.

 After we hung out for a bit, we split up, because both of us were there for family time. But we would wave from across the room or talk for a bit if we saw each other.

Before we left I got my face painted like a wolf and got paw prints on my hands. we left happy and satisfied.

One day I was on my Chromebook when my dad told me we were meeting my mom at a band competition. I thought it would be people from her middle school, but it wasn’t. We hopped into the car and drove to the competition.

 When we got there, we met my mom at the ticket booth. They handed us the wrist bands we wear. The were lime green. Then, we started on our way to the seats. But while we were walking, we saw a gate that said, “no entrance or exit while performance.” So we had to wait. Finally, we could get in. we walked over to our seats. My sister was saving them.

When we got there, we got snuggled in with our blankets, and got ready to watch the competition. It had already started, so we didn’t have to wait long to listen to them. A lot of them i can’t remember, so ill just explain the one I remember. The one I remember was Century high school. Their vest lit up! Their props did too! When we got to vote, we voted century. When it came the time to announce, century got 3rd place!

The human hasn’t woken up yet! I’m hungry and there’s no more food left! “Meow! Meow!” I call. No response. I start to panic, but suddenly, the human opens the door and pets me. I go downstairs, expecting the human to follow me. But then he goes to the couch. So I follow. He pets me. I rub on him to get his attention. I succeed. He re-fills my food. “Crunch crunch“ this food is good, though I wish I could have tuna.

I want attention! I know! I’ll hop onto him until he pets me! Of course, it works, and we snuggle for about an hour. Then I hear a call from the higher part of the house, “Tait, 15 minutes till your 9:30 zoom!” I know what that means! That means I get to see my classmates. I try to say hello, and he suddenly points his tablet at me. I see another cat, it looks like me! I try to communicate. I do not hear a reply, but I see the mouth moving. I ran away from that intimidating cat. Wait, that was my reflection. Oh.

 

2:50 pm

 

My human is excited. The reason? Not sure. I check the time, 2:55. Oh! That is his afternoon zoom meeting! Perfect! I shall be their guest star! I follow him to his room.

I smell paint. He notices me, and picks me up and brings me to his tablet camera. Yes! I am the star! Alright,I’m bored. I’ll be going now. The zoom ended. I stumble into simba, and he says “ wanna play?” I replied “sure.” and so the battle begins. He starts chasing me. I jump over the rolled up Astro turf, and peek over it. I pounce on him. He runs and hides. You know what? I’m done. I’m going to lay down on the couch.

I’m going to sleep. I’m tired. The humans are getting ready to sleep, I’ll join them in their slumber.

I made my avatar have glasses because I have glasses. I also have brown hair, like my avatar! I love cats so I made my avatar wearing a cat headband. I also have 2 cats. I love coding and drawing.

One morning, I woke up early and thought “What to do? I can’t go back to sleep.” I got up, and went downstairs to watch tv.

 

 I turned on the TV, and started watching bunked. After a few minutes, I realized that it was time to get our new cat, Nala!

 

 I ran upstairs and got dressed and ready for our new cat! I was so excited! After everyone got ready. We drove to N.O.A.H. and waited. 

“How much longer?” I kept asking, “I can’t wait much longer!”.It was a while before we went in and got Nala.

 

 When we were in the car, we tried to pet her through the holes in the kennel, we barely could touch her. She was super small and furry. She was a brown tabby.

 

 When we got home, we took her out of the kennel. We all got turns to hold her. She was a lot smaller than she is now, so she was easy to hold.

 

 “Awww!” I exclaimed. She was also a lot more playful then, so we used a toy fishing rod with confetti on the end. After awhile, we used a cat laser to play with her.
